Court Garden Houses

Court garden or patio houses offer similar advantages to single family detached houses. They complement the basic social unit, the family, and their boundaries are clearly defined to reflect explicit ownership. However; in two important respects the court-garden house surpasses the detached house: in the provision of “real” privacy to their occupants and in land use efficiency (Schoenauer: 1994).
